چکیده
Abstract—The seismic response of special-shaped arch bridge was different from conventional arch bridge with obviously spatial coupling effect, researched the spatial seismic behavior of Tongtai bridge which in Zhangjiakou by finite element theory, analyzed the effect of seismic response peak on this bridge under longitudinal, horizontal and vertical three directions seismic wave propagation, provided references for this type bridge. The results showed that in the longitudinal, vertical traveling wave effect, the control section’s internal forces of structure had obvious changes, then the control section’s internal forces under horizontal traveling wave effect changed slightly, but the peak of force was more than longitudinal and vertical input.

Influence of apparent wave velocity on seismic performance of a super-long- span triple-tower suspension bridge
As one of the main characteristics of seismic waves, apparent wave velocity has great influence on seismic responses of long-span suspension bridges. Understanding these influences is important for seismic design. In this article, the critical issues concerning the traveling wave effect analysis are first reviewed. Taizhou Bridge, the longest triple-tower suspension bridge in the world, is then...
متن کاملEffect of Link Slab on Seismic Response of Two Span Straight and Skew Bridges
Highway bridges are frequently constructed as simple span structures with steel or concrete girders and a cast-in-place concrete deck, spanning from one pier to another. At each end of the simple span deck, a joint is provided for deck movement due to temperature, shrinkage, and creep. Bridge deck joints are expensive and pose many problems with regard to bridge maintenance. Elimination of deck...
متن کاملSeismic Evaluation of Flexible-Base Low-Rise Steel Frames Using Beam-On-Nonlinear-Winkler-Foundation Modeling of Shallow Footings
Recent investigations have shown that the influences of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) may be detrimental to the seismic response of structure, and hence neglecting this phenomenon in analysis and design may lead to an un-conservative design. The objective of this paper is to quantify the effects of nonlinear soil-structure interaction on the seismic response of a low-rise special moment fram...
متن کاملElastic-plastic Seismic Behavior of Long Span Cable-stayed Bridges
This paper investigates the elastic-plastic seismic behavior of long span cable-stayed steel bridges through the plane finite-element model. Both geometric and material nonlinearities are involved in the analysis. The geometric nonlinearities come from the stay cable sag effect, axial force-bending moment interaction, and large displacements. Material nonlinearity arises when the stiffening ste...
متن کاملEvaluating Response Modification Factors of Concentrically Braced and Special Moment Steel Frames in Duplex Buildings
Response modification factor (R-factor) is one of the seismic design parameters to consider nonlinear performance of building structures during strong earthquake. Relying on this, many seismic design codes led to reduce earthquake loads imposed to the structure. The present paper tries to evaluate the R-factors of conventional concentric braced frames (CBFs) and special moment frames (MRFs) in ...
